About Our School

Washington is a Pre-Kindergarten through sixth grade elementary school in Omaha, NE.  The student population includes Early Childhood students through sixth grade.

Washington has a special education classroom; three Deaf & Hard of Hearing (Pre-K-6) classrooms, an  Early Childhood Special Education, and a Resource Room.

All students receive services of a full time Library-Media Specialist, itinerant art, music, and physical education specialists.  A nurse, student personnel assistant, district-level curriculum supervisors, and a psychologist support the building staff.  Some students also receive services from an English as a Second Language teacher.

A Positive Action Center (PAC Room) is staffed with a trained facilitator to reinforce positive discipline.  Students who are having difficulty in the classroom come to the PAC Room to discuss, be redirectd, and to practice a "life skill."
