Washington is a Pre-Kindergarten through sixth grade elementary school in Omaha, NE. The student population includes Early Childhood students through sixth grade.
Washington has a special education classroom; three Deaf & Hard of Hearing (Pre-K-6) classrooms, an Early Childhood Special Education, and a Resource Room.
All students receive services of a full time Library-Media Specialist, itinerant art, music, and physical education specialists. A nurse, student personnel assistant, district-level curriculum supervisors, and a psychologist support the building staff. Some students also receive services from an English as a Second Language teacher.
A Positive Action Center (PAC Room) is staffed with a trained facilitator to reinforce positive discipline. Students who are having difficulty in the classroom come to the PAC Room to discuss, be redirectd, and to practice a "life skill."
