2017-2018 PTO Meeting Dates
(PTO meets in the Washington Library from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.)
Dear Washington Families,
The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a non-profit parent/teacher organization whose membership includes parents, legal guardians, students, staff and local businesses. We are guided by three main objectives: To advocate for Washington students, staff and families within the Omaha Public School System and the Omaha community. To provide volunteer and financial support for school programs and events. To strengthen the school community by creating social opportunities for our families, students & teachers.
Everyone is welcome to become a member of the Washington Parent Teacher Organization and membership is free to all Washington families. As a PTO member, you have a vote in the organization. We meet on the second Tuesday of the month at 6 pm, in the school library. Free babysitting is provided.
All PTO members will receive our monthly electronic newsletter. We also maintain a website: www.washingtonelementary.wordpress.com and a Facebook page: Families of Washington Elementary – Omaha, NE. Visit Facebook and give us a “Like” to receive regular updates about the school and surrounding community.
It is our belief that the team effort of a parent teacher organization offers the best possible learning environment for our children. We are looking forward to a fun and successful 2016-2017 school year!
