Omaha Public Schools Head Start prepares young children for success in school and life by providing quality learning experiences in inclusive environments, support in developing social/emotional and academic skills, and opportunities to empower families in the education of their young children.
Dear Head Start families,
I wanted to take a moment to welcome you to our Head Start classroom at Washington Elementary! My name is Mrs. Benak and I will be your child’s teacher this year. This is my 7th year teaching Head Start! Teaching young children is my passion!
Our official school day is from 8:50am to 4:05pm. An adult must walk your child to the classroom and sign the child in/out each day.
Your child will receive breakfast, lunch, and snack each day at school. Outside food/drinks are not permitted. Your child may bring a water bottle.
